Extinct Mackerel Shark

Cretolamna biauriculata from Ouled Abdoun Basin; Oued Zem, near Kouribgha, Morocco

This animal was the brother of Cretolamna appendiculata and lived during the Campanian Stage of the Cretaceous Epoch (71 to 75 MYA).  It was one of the extinct Mackerel Sharks.  These teeth range in size from 1 1/8" to 1".
