from Ouled Abdoun Basin;
Oued Zem, near Kouribgha, Morocco

This animal was the father of Otodus obliquus; the Great, Great Grand Father of the Great White Shark and the Great, Great, Great Grand Father of the C. megalodon.  If you are collecting a lineage of the Giant White Sharks or the Great White Sharks, you need to start with this species. It was one of the extinct Mackerel Sharks.   These teeth range in size from 1 1/8" to 5/8".
