We have just acquired a large number of these Isurus species teeth and will be adding them to these webpages as we can.  Please check back.

This set of 5 photos are of teeth that we call I. hastalis - upper jaw.  Bob Purdy at the Smithsonian & elasmo.com call them I. xiphodon.  The dark ones are from the Pungo River Formation.  The light ones are from the Yorktown Formation.

The first photo is of all 22 teeth.  The next 4 photos are close ups of the teeth in groups.

The largest is 2.165" (55mm).  The smallest is 1.338" (34mm).
